The Yellow Thunderbird Lodge-Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTL-YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking Family Aide(s) for the Ongoing and Intake/Investigation Units. This position will report to the Area Program Manager(s) and will provide administrative and transport support services to the Yellow Thunderbird- Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. staff and clients. The Family Aide are to reduce the barriers clients experience from accessing services.
Qualifications:
1)Grade 12 with eighteen (18) months office experience OR
2)Certificate in the area of Office Management and twelve (12) months experience OR
3)Diploma in the area of Office Management
4)Valid Saskatchewan Drivers license
Computer literate.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Must be able to sign a Non-Disclosure and Oath of Confidentiality.
Willingness to participate in ongoing classroom and on the job training.
Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act, Child and Family Service Act, ISC Child in Care Policy Saskatchewan Region Manual, and Provincial Childrens Service Manual.
Commitment to protecting children.
Knowledge of the Cree, Nakota and Saulteaux Culture and the political and social objectives of the YTL-YTCCFS Inc. member First Nations.
Must be willing to upgrade skills when time and funding permits.
Must be prompt and efficient.
Must have excellent oral, written and time management skills.
Updating the client case files with new information.
Filing of documents, letters, and forms as required,
Assist the staff in the coordination and preparation of materials for meetings/workshops/training sessions as required
Ensure the Child in Care, Family Files and/or Resource Case Files are structured in the approved format set out by the Area Program Managers.
Coordination of visitation appointments
Coordination of Mental Health Therapist appointments
