Description

Make an impact with our Information Technology team as a Junior Software Developer in a Home office.  

What you will do:
Translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Gathers requirements from end-users to improve business processes.
Creates and documents change requests and technical specifications.
Codes software programs and applications according to specifications.
Unit testing and ensuring business users test changes prior to implementation.
Provides training to users on developed/changed solutions.
Defines and creates reports using SQL reporting.
Performs system administration and configuration of ERP and related software systems.
Liaising with business area managers to ensure solutions are implemented and application issues are resolved.
Research, implement and maintain software developer tools.
Performs production code changes and rollouts both supervised and non- supervised as well as all related production testing.
Other software development and maintenance duties, as required by the organization.

Who you offer:
Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Applied Computer Sciences, or a relevant field is required.
2 years programming experience in object-oriented and scripting language (C#, X++, HTML, JavaScript, etc.). Relational database knowledge (SQL, normalization, use of indexes and proper DB maintenance).
Experience writing and maintaining code in Visual Studio.net or other IDE software.
Experience with Source Control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.)
Experience writing reports (SSRS and Power BI)
Ability to design, code, and test solutions based on business requirements.
Strong communication skills, spoken and written in both technical and business terminology.
Documentation skills in both programming and procedure-based documentation.
