Description

Duties:

Direct and organize logistics activities that may include obtaining shipping rates or negotiating with service providers.
Process and transmit information and instructions to manage the activities of vehicle operators using computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment.
Using systems to monitor the location of the drivers.
Dispatch personnel as per the written schedules and work orders
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure prompt receipt and delivery of equipment to and from customers.
Manage work records and payroll summaries using computerized and manual methods.
Inform vehicle operators of route and traffic problems.
Keep record of mileage, fuel use, repairs and other expenses.
