Description

This program requires a broad range of skills in program administration, organizational development, including financial reporting and procedures. The Daycare Coordinator works with the Daycare Directors and Daycare Boards to develop and maintain high quality early learning facility services for parents who require the service. The Daycare Coordinator will work directly with each community day care director to ensure all the licensing and monitoring requirements are met and will work closely with BRT6HC finance department to ensure accurate financial records are maintained for annual financial review.
Specific duties include bookkeeping, licensing of day care centers, monitoring and support of early learning facilities, coordination of required training, and maintaining reporting requirements. This position will also work in a team environment with the Finance and Operations Team.

Qualifications:
    Business Administration certificate/diploma or equivalent work experience
    Minimum of 2 years experience in program administration would be considered an asset.
    Experience in the early childhood field would be considered as asset.
    Must be proficient with Microsoft office. Experience with Sage 50 or Sage 300 would be considered an asset.
Other duties as assigned:
    Capable of developing good working relationships with First Nations at the community, Band, Tribal Council, and other First Nations organizations
    Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about First Nations cultures.
    Excellent written/verbal communications skills
    Ability to travel within the district and region.
    Must have a valid drivers license.
    Must provide a criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
