Description

The Schizophrenia Society of Saskatchewan Inc. is looking for a person to facilitate the delivery of an anti-stigma and public informational program to residents of Regina Saskatchewan in-person and virtually. The successful applicant will be able to develop a good working relationship with people with schizophrenia and other mental illness, family members, volunteers, and mental health professionals and advocates. Networking with a variety of educational institutions and community agencies is required. Working knowledge of mental illness and the mental health system is essential.  

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Recruiting Volunteers
Advertising
Media Involvement
Researching Informational Material
Gathering Statistics
Measuring Program Outcomes
Program Evaluations
Providing Written Reports
Committee and working group involvement.

The knowledge and abilities for this position would come from completion of a BA/BSc in Psychology, RPN/RN, or completion of a BSW. A combination of education and equivalent relevant job experience will also be considered. The applicant will require excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A demonstrated proficiency in use of computer and Microsoft software applications will be required.

To be successful in this position the applicant must be a team player and able to work independently; be adaptable and flexible; will have a participative style in leading, coaching and motivating; be results oriented; energetic and a self starter. Must be available for occasional evening and weekend work. Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers license. Some travel within the province will be required.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search clearance.
