The supervisor will report to the Program Manager(s) and/or Executive Director. The supervisor will be on call as required and coordinate with the Program Manager(s). Shifts may include weekends and evenings as required. Facilitates and implements programs to address developmental, behavioral and social needs of clients. Identifies and develops Comprehensive Behaviors Support (CBSP) in compliance with CPP and SP.
Welcomes and provides orientation for staff and clients
Works in conjunction with, and acts as a resource for frontline staff
The supervisor will assist with scheduling, staffing and training as required.
Experience providing support for people with disabilities is an asset.
Qualifications:
Grade 12; post secondary certificate in Disability Support Worker, Certified Care assistant or similar designation is an asset
Experience in working with and providing personal care for individuals with intellectual disabilities. An equivalent of education and experience will be considered
Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and barriers to support
Skills:
Sensitive and compassionate
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently
Strong leadersip skills
This position requires:
Ability to work evenings and weekends
A valid Saskatchewan drivers license and drivers abstract
A satisfactory criminal record check including vulnerable sector search
An Oath of Confidentiality and the Code of Ethics of the Agency
