Job Profile
Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, the Industrial Mechanic will be responsible for repairing and refurbishing construction related equipment in a distribution plant or field environment while following Prairie Machines Health and Safety Policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools
Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
Gather correct parts for assembly procedures
Follow health and safety program, good manufacturing practices, safe working habits, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
Millwright or Industrial Mechanic Red Seal
3-5 years of relevant experience
Experience with ERP systems
Industrial mechanics background
