Description

We are a family operated farm and located in a rural setting.  We are currently looking for a Livestock Worker.

Main Livestock Duties:

Feed and tend to livestock, detect disease and health problems in livestock, assist with calving, formulate feeding programs, implement pasture breeding programs, maintain livestock records and select livestock for sale.

Clean barns, barnyards and pens.

Maintain and repair buildings, corrals and fences.

Operating Equipment Various tractors, Combine, Swather, baler, Air Drill and High Clearance Sprayer.

Maintain Farm Machinery and Equipment:  Changing oil, changing tires, greasing equipment and mechanical repairs as need arises.

Perform general farm duties as required.

Job Skills and Requirements:
    2+ years Experience operating farm machinery.
    Assess and repair equipment in a timely manner.
Willing to work long hours during peak seasons.  
Possess a valid class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record.
Class 1A license is an Asset.
Mechanically inclined and a problem solver.

Skills And Abilities
Essential Skills  - Clearly speak and understand spoken English.
Work Location Information  - Rural community Farm Base.
Self-Motivated
