Description

One Arrow First Nation is seeking a dynamic and committed individual to join our team as the Head Start Cook.

The One Arrow First Nation Head Start program actively promotes our culture and traditions.  
The Head Start Cook is under the supervision of the Day Care Manager.  The required qualifications are:

- Must have Safe Food Handling certificate.
- Experience working in the kitchen and able to follow the Canada Food guidelines.
- Experience working with young children.
- Must have a clear CPIC plus a vulnerable sector check.
- Must have a drivers license and drivers abstract.
- Good team building skills, to be able to assist in playroom when required.
- Maintain an orderly, sanitary and safe kitchen.
- Maintain cost control, budget and inventory systems.
- Plans and prepares food according with Headstart food service policy, menus and recipes.
- Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe orderly manner to ensure the safety of staff and public.
- Able to participate in staff training, emergency drills and environmental activities.
- Knowledge of the Cree language and culture is considered an asset.
