Description

As a key member of the team, the Sanitation Technician will act as a member of the plant sanitation team to ensure the overall plant and equipment cleanliness and sanitation, built in an environment of safety, efficiency and quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
Receive sanitation plan and ensure clarity with Sanitation Supervisor
Ensure compliance of employee safety, PPE and food safety requirements
Completes all sanitation activities as per SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operation Procedure)
Dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing and set-up of equipment
Assists Sanitation Supervisor to ensure that all chemicals used in the cleaning process are mixed with a proper solution according to the standard specifications
Communicate issues, concerns, and updates through documentation to Sanitation Supervisor
Demonstrate a commitment to being an active member of a culture of employee and food safety.
Actively supports risk management activities as it relates to quality, customer, brand, and food safety.
Support the team with any other projects or duties required to be completed as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Has:
1-2 years experience working in a sanitation or a food manufacturing environment preferred, but are willing to train those who bring the right attitude
Demonstrated knowledge and application of process control and general food safety principles
In-depth knowledge of quality and food safety and experience following food safety plans
Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a sanitation issue
Ability to work in a team environment
Good communication skills
A willingness to take on new challenges
This role would be positioned for evening, or night shifts, but may require flexibility in weekends and holidays to ensure that work is complete and ready for production
