Quint Youth Lodge Program Staff
Casual- Varied availability including Evenings, weekends and overnights

Quint Development Corporation is a unique community economic development organization, focused on strengthening communities and improving social conditions for Saskatoon residents. The goal is to create opportunities for affordable housing, jobs, and economic development is Saskatoons west-side core neighbourhoods.

The Quint Youth Lodge is seeking interested candidates to facilitate the day-to-day operations.  The Quint Youth Lodge is a transitional residence for up to 10 youth; 16 to 21 years old.  The objective of the Lodge is to assist residents transition to successful independent living by providing safe and supportive housing with linkages to education, training and employment.

The ideal candidate is non-judgmental, compassionate and is able to build trusting relationships with clients. The candidate must be willing to work every second Saturday evening.

Qualifications for this position is:

    Desire to work with and believe in the potential of youth
    Experience working with people from marginalized communities
    Knowledge of the beliefs and values of Indigenous cultures
    Awareness of community resources and how to access them
    Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills
    Mediation/conflict resolution and problem solving skills;
    Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
    Good critical thinking skills

Duties may include:

    Support for youth involved with this program
    Consulting with co-workers in the development and follow through of residents case plans
    Recording of information / filing / journal entries
    Meal preparation / cleaning / general maintenance
    Room checks / supervision

Conditions of Employment:
    Must provide a criminal record check and vulnerable persons check
    Valid drivers license is an asset
    Proof of vaccination
