1.Prepares food before the arrival of guests
2.Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
3.Acts as liaison to front-of-house employees to ensure proper food service temperature
4. Seasons food according to recipes or restaurant needs
5.Portions, arranges, and garnishes food based on client preference
6. Assists other cooks during the food assembly process 7.Devises new recipes for sushi or other dishes
8. Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation
9. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins
10. Offers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants
11. Cleans up after business hours
12. Communicates with owner about how to improve meal services
13.Performs other duties as assigned
