Description

The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the permanent position of JM Plumber.

Employees in this position perform journeyman level work involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of plumbing fixtures, heating equipment and gas appliances.

Hours of work are 10 hours Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday
OR
8.5 hours Monday to Friday with every third week EDO

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform installation of and general plumbing repairs to plumbing fixtures.

Perform repairs and installation of water supply, sewer and venting piping.

Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs to gas fired forced air furnaces, water heaters, roof top heaters, boilers, unit heaters, concession equipment such as fryers and grills, and any other HVAC related equipment.

Perform installation and replacement of heating equipment.

Prepare estimates of time and material costs on assigned jobs.

Keep accurate records of time and materials actually used for each job.

Monitor contractors and other employees as required.

Follow Acts, Regulations, Bylaws, Agreements, policies and procedures.

Follow the Act, Regulations and policies related to Occupational Health and Safety.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Journeyman Plumbing Certificate with a General Gas License.

Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License.
