This is a safety-sensitive position, the successful candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPowers Fit for Duty Policy.

JOB SUMMARY:
The employee in this classification is, on assigned shift, responsible to direct and participate in the efficient operation of plant turbines, generators, boilers, emission control systems and associated auxiliaries to ensure power plant is operating.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Second Class Power Engineers Certificate and valid Second-Class License, or equivalent
Possess the ability to make and implement sound decisions under emergent conditions
Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position
Ability to cooperate and deal tactfully with others
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to update and maintain applicable licences, as required
Valid Class 5 drivers licence

This position falls within the scope of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 2067.
