The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre Regina is currently recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie for our WildSage Kitchen & Bar.
The primary function of the CDP is to assist daily operation of the Kitchen line and banquet event execution.
This position is a working supervisory position required to perform scheduled duties on and off the line and is also required to guide associates in accordance with the policies and procedures in the kitchen.
Our ideal Chef de Partie will be able to successfully manage and coach when dealing with customer concerns, ensuring each guest has an amazing WildSage experience. Hours will fluctuate between 30-40+/week.
You will be good at guiding and developing others while working alongside the team.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in training/re-training and developing the line and banquet cook teams
- Work with the Chef's to ensure food quality and presentation standards are of the highest standards
- Assist with inventory control and stocking, maintaining budgeted food costs
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Assist in promotion of specials and contests
- Ensure a clean, safe and respectful environment
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 -5 years of commercial cooking experience
-Demonstrated leaderships abilities with effective
verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills
- Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred
- Proficiency with English communication both written and verbal
- Must be able to problem solve independently
- Stays up to date with current Health and Safety regulations
- Must have valid work permit to be considered
