The Academy of Music is currently searching for the right person to join our admin team!
The Academy of Music is a music school, as well as an instrument retailer, venue, and community hub. Our admin team organizes and manages all school and lesson operations for our teachers, and we are looking for a responsible, focused, and detail-oriented individual who shares our passion for music, community, and creativity.
Job duties would include:
-corresponding with potential and existing clients
-booking lessons and managing our instructors schedules in our scheduling system
-managing client accounts including processing payments and communicating lesson policies
-cashing out and opening/closing duties
-learning our retail inventory (instruments, accessories, music books, and rentals)
-assisting customers with instrument rentals and purchases
-assisting with keeping the office space, store, washrooms, and staff area tidy
Applicants must also be comfortable and willing to learn our internal scheduling software MusicBiz, the project management app Slack for keeping in communication with our instructors, and Sage Accounting for our retail PoS.
Part time, with some room for negotiation/flexibility. Candidate must be available 9 - 5 on Saturdays, as well as negotiable evening hours on Thursdays and Fridays.
Musical background is not required for hire, but is considered an asset.
