Gordon Denny Community School is a Pre K-6 school with a student population of approximately 205, a professional staff component of 17 supported by para-professional, clerical and library staff.
This is a temporary full-time position to start October 10, 2023 until June 27, 2024, to teach Cree Language and Culture at the K-6 grade level. Please note that this position will also include teaching Cree Language and Culture online synchronously to small schools in NLSD half time and to students face-to-face at GDCS half time. Candidates must be fluent in the Cree language and have knowledge of the Cree culture. The successful candidate must be eligible for a Saskatchewan Professional A or a Provisional Professional A teaching certification.
Salary is according to the provincial grid plus a benefits package that includes a housing subsidy and a northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.
