Under the direction and guidance of the Program Manager, the Prenatal Outreach Coordinator will lead and coordinate elements within the KidsFirst NORTH program in the areas of prenatal and postnatal outreach and support.
This is a position that requires excellent:
leadership, management & communication skills
knowledge of pre and postnatal care
knowledge of early childhood development
knowledge of community development principles
ability to work with diverse organizations and individuals
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in the Human Services field (Education, Health, Social Work, Etc) and have 2-3 years experience working with young children and families. A combination of either education and/or experience will also be considered. The candidate must have experience in pre and postnatal care and/or supports, knowledge in early childhood development, family dynamics and prevention strategies, policy development, community outreach and community capacity building. It is required that the applicant have strong communication skills that will assist in providing presentations, reports on progress and to have strong computer skills to track progress electronically.
Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are essential.
