The Role
Cameco is looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will be reporting to the Jet Boring System Supervisor.This is a temporary one-year term position.
In this role, you will:
-Be responsible for the operation of the jet boring system (JBS)
-Organize and perform daily operator care rounds on the JBS and all other related equipment
-Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the JBS
-Ensure safe and efficient uranium ore production
Required:
-Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent
-At least three years of industrial experience
-Strong team player with excellent communication skills
-Strong ability to use and navigate automated mining technology and computer software
-Significant work experience in drilling and underground mining
-Work a rotation schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
-Background in the operation of complex drilling machinery
-Work experience with navigating and operating DCS systems
-Familiarity with IOS systems

The Cigar Lake operation is located in northern Saskatchewan and operates on a two week on/two week off rotational schedule. Employees commute to the site by aircraft from designated locations in Saskatchewan.
Preference will be given to Residents of Saskatchewans North (RSN).
