Description

RIWC Regina Immigrant Women Centre is a non-profit organization which provides programming and services for newcomers. RIWC is looking for a full-time Finance Coordinator to join the Finance team. The Coordinator is going to provide financial assistance and budget resources support to RIWC programs. This is a mid-level position and will report directly to the Finance Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors degree major in accounting or finance with 2-3 years of Canadian experience
Self-motivated wit initiative for running a smooth finance operation within an organization
Emotional maturity, resourceful team player, able to be effective & independent
Complete knowledge of payroll and Canadian Taxes/Deductions
Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office- Word and Excel
Good verbal and written English communication skills

DUTIES AND ABILITIES
General Financial administration
Support project leadership and project team members with administrative aspects of project deliverables
Review and/or approve transactions, reconcile budget and payroll information
Maintain the grant and account records up-to-date in the grant database and accounting system
Supervise all financial data, monitor transactions, project allocation, journal entries and prepare appropriate reports for the projects
Assist in planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure appropriate and effective management of organizations finances
Oversee programs account receivable and accounts payable and ensure smooth bank reconciliation
Handle the organizations credit cards payment and submit reports
Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified
Assist and ensure the monthly and yearly closing of the programs expenses in the accounting system
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines
Work experience in non-profit organizations is an asset
