SaskWater is looking for an experienced and certified water professional to join the Special Services team within the Operations division. This position requires significant travel, where you will be working approximately 70% of the time in SaskWater facilities around the province. The home-base for the position is Wakaw.

Working a set 8 days on, 6 days off shift, you will work in SaskWater owned and operated water treatment plants, distribution systems and wastewater facilities across the province. In addition, you will deliver the corporate meter program, and perform backflow prevention testing, underwater inspections using a remote operated vehicle, and leak detections services as well as undertaking other technology support activities.

To qualify, you will have a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology, or similar technical discipline. Certification as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) or Certified Technician (C.Tech.) is required to be obtained. In accordance with the Operator Certification Board requirements, or existing industry reciprocity agreements, certification at the appropriate levels in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Wastewater Treatment are required to be obtained. A Valid Class 5 Drivers License is required.

Special Requirements:  The position requires the incumbent to undergo a Criminal Record Check and Drug and Alcohol test. You must be legally entitled to work in Canada. A valid Saskatchewan drivers license is required.
