Description

The HVAC Technician troubleshoots and maintains the heating and ventilation systems in the mill which include electrical rooms, control rooms, offices, etc.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine planned, predictive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Support the contract HVAC service provider to the mill.
Support maintenance team with other non-HVAC maintenance work.
Plan maintenance in conjunction with Supply Chain and Operations personnel.
Investigate new technologies with vendors.
Troubleshoot, with other mill personnel, operational and maintenance issues.
Optimize performance of equipment in collaboration with Operations and Engineering personnel to enhance mill operation.
Develop and implement reliability integrity strategies for equipment.
Participate in the dual trade program at Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp.
Provide training to an apprentice Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic as part of the mill dual trade program.
Qualifications:
Journeyperson:  Saskatchewan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic or equivalent.
Saskatchewan General Gas Fitting license or eligibility to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
SAP or other enterprise business software.
Demonstrated ability to collaboratively work in a team environment.
There is an expectation of providing overtime as required to meet emergency mill needs and for scheduled mill outages. Maintenance Technicians also provide routine scheduled shift coverage (shared equitability with team).
Preference will be given to qualified local and regional Saskatchewan applicants
