Description

Serene Tea is a local food and beverage establishment that offers a menu inspired by Asian flavours. We provide bubble teas, which are made with an infusion of authentic Asian tea or freshly cut fruits. We are looking for passionate baristas to join our team!

Requirements
Language: English
Education: Completion of secondary school education
Experience: Previous work experience as a barista is an asset but not mandatory

Responsibilities

- Create a variety of bubble tea beverages, including classic flavours like milk tea and fruit tea, and add toppings such as tapioca pearls, fruit jellies, and pudding according to our recipe

- Brew and steep tea leaves, ensuring that the tea base is of high quality and flavour

- Cook and prepare tapioca pearls to ensure they are the right consistency and flavour

- Prepare and organize toppings like fruit slices, fruit jellies, and other add-ins for efficient service

- Mix flavour syrups into drinks based on customer preferences, following standardized recipes

- Use blenders and shaking machines to mix ingredients

- Offer customization options to customers, allowing them to adjust sweetness levels, ice levels, and other preferences

- Ensure that all our beverages meet our quality standards in terms of taste, texture, and presentation

- Regularly clean and maintain equipment such as blenders, tea urns, and shaking machines to ensure proper functioning and sanitation

- Operate the cash register, process orders, and handle payments accurately

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and offering recommendations

- Keep the work area, including the preparation station, countertops, and utensils, clean and sanitized.

- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, including tea, flavourings, and toppings and report when supplies need restocking
