The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement oversees over 800 owned and leased buildings and properties in 169 communities that the Government of Saskatchewan owns/leases. It maintains buildings used by government ministries and agencies, working with clients to identify, plan, and deliver accommodation services to meet their needs.
The successful candidate will know the terminology, theories, principles and applied methodology applicable to facility management, including BOMA and the national building and fire codes. You will also have knowledge of engineering principles in architectural, electrical, mechanical and structural engineering. You will have experience accurately recording and preparing technical material, including reports, blueprints and drawings using various computer software such as AutoCAD and Archibus.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be obtained from a diploma in Architectural and Building Technologies, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology and several years of experience or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, and knowledge.
