Visually sort potatoes to Agriculture Canada standards or in some cases unique customer specifications. This means standing on our potato line, for extended periods of time, sorting potatoes. Identify quality issues, ensuring continuity in potato specifications, informing management of quality issues, working with other employees to ensure quality guidelines are met and adhered to. Cleaning and disinfecting wash line equipment, sizing equipment along with washrooms, lunch room and general sanitation of working areas. In the off season, will be asked to perform various field task which could include hoeing, weeding, making boxes and field packing various cole crops. During the harvest season, applicants can expect to work upwards of 50 hours per week. Weekend work is expected of all staff during harvest. The seasonal reality to farming in Saskatchewan requires such practices.
