Description

Overview:
As part of the Leisure Services Department, the City of Humboldt is currently seeking to fill a Permanent, Full-Time Facilities Maintenance Manager. Under the direction of the Director of Community and Leisure Services, the Facilities Maintenance Manager will ensure all City buildings perform as designed and constructed. This list of City buildings includes the Uniplex, City Hall, Museum, Gallery, Public Works Shop, Fire Hall, and all other buildings assigned. The successful applicant will be responsible for training, scheduling, supervising, and providing corrective actions to all maintenance staff members.

Qualifications:
- Diploma in Building Maintenance or equivalent experience and achievements is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of maintaining public buildings.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Qualifications Required within 6 Months of Hire:
- Refrigeration Operation Certificate
- Pool Operation Certificate
- First Aid/CPR
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)

Compensation & Hours of Work:
- This is an out-of-scope position with a salary range of $67,121 - $80,850 (2023 rates)
- Employees are eligible for the employer matched defined pension plan, annual paid vacation days, and a comprehensive health and wellness plan
- General work schedule is a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. Applicants are required to attend to maintenance issues outside of regular work hours as necessary.
- A Criminal Record Check will be required as a condition of employment.
