Job Profile
The Service Technician performs mechanical and electrical service work on electric vehicles and mining equipment. They conduct assessments and repairs to modules that are returned for repair, as well as travel on-site to troubleshoot and perform field repairs as necessary. The Service Technician will be able to take information from engineering, sales and the customer to repair EVs and mining equipment to the customers satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
Understand the detailed mechanical and electrical workings of all Prairie Machine products
Assess malfunctioning mechanical/electrical modules and determine the cause of the failure
Perform quality repairs with a keen attention to detail
Accurately communicate with the customer and our own engineers to ensure information is shared with all parties
Provide input/feedback to the Prairie Machine design team as it pertains to the serviceability and longevity of products
Assist production staff as required
Produce timely and detailed service reports
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 or GED; Mechanical or Electrical trade required
5 - 10 Years of experience
Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
Experience with MS Office, basic programming knowledge
Valid Class 5 drivers licence
Compensation
Underground Mine Work eligible for a $10/hr premium
Overtime may be available
