The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Collaborate in the development and delivery of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
Work collaboratively with school staff, parents/guardians, learning support coordinator and consultants.
Provide direct services and resource support to designated students, as needed.
Facilitate the referral process for those students requiring outside professional services
Participate in operation of the school extracurricular program.
The suitable candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Education degree and a Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher Certification or ability to obtain;
Degree or Diploma in Special Education or related experience would be an asset;
Experience working with Educational staff in a team environment;
Use motivational skills and strategies to encourage students to learn and keep them engaged;
Have strong verbal and written communication skills to instruct and assess students work;
Have computer skills and can work with multiple types of computers, technology and software programs (power point, google classroom, Microsoft teams);
Strong time management skills to balance online classroom environment;
On-line teaching experience an asset;
Valid Class 5 Drivers License;
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Drivers Abstract, Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
