Description

Fillmore is a village of 286 residents located 110 km southeast of Regina.
The Administrator will be responsible for all operations of the Village in accordance with the policies and bylaws established by Council and The Municipalities Act.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and maintaining assessment and tax rolls, preparing utility billings, accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting for the Village, bylaw enforcement, preparing and adhering to the annual budget, preparing for council meetings, maintaining cemetery records, payroll, municipal election procedures and legislation, and preparation of policies and bylaws.
The successful candidate is preferred to possess the following qualifications:
-Proficiency in municipal accounting, municipal laws, human resources, payroll, asset management.
-Must be proficient in Word and Excel.
-Excellent communication, organizational, management and human relation skills.
- Ability to interpret policies, bylaws, and legislation appropriately when responding to situations and requests.
- Experience with Local Authority Freedom of Information and Privacy Legislation is considered an asset.
- Discretion with matters pertaining to confidentiality is a must.
Preference will be given to applicants that have obtained their Urban Standard Certificate in Local Government Authority and a Standard Certificate issued by Urban Board of Examiners or otherwise be willing to obtain these certifications in a timely manner. Preference will also be given to those with experience with Munisoft.
