Description

40 hours work week (Workweek and schedule may vary, depending on driving demand) with possibility of overtime hours if necessary.

La Ronge Petroleum is currently in need of experience, hard-working Class 1A driver who is physically and mentally fit.  A person that can operate heavy vehicles that haul equipment and petroleum products, as well as perform flatbed work. We are based in La Ronge, Saskatchewan and delivers our product primarily throughout Central and Northern Saskatchewan; we can go throughout Canada if requested.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all areas of the vehicle and conduct pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections.
2. Maintain equipment neatly and efficiently, making sure that maintenance is completed on time.
3. Wears all assigned personal protective equipment and maintain same in proper condition for use.
4. Accomplish an accurate driver logs and fuel ticket.
5. Hauls equipment and petroleum products, as well as flatbed work.
6. Performs other duties within the site, such as yard works and truck maintenance, when truck driving is not required.
7. Helps other staff complete their assigned tasks including assistance as required during the absence of other employees due to illness, vacation or other leave.
8. Maintain a positive, respectful working relationship with the management and other employees.
Qualifications:
Senior High School graduate or equivalent
Valid Saskatchewan Class 1 drivers license
Clean driving abstract
Good physical and mental health
Minimum of two (2) years experience driving Class 1 vehicle.
Has the capacity to execute verbal or written instructions effectively and efficiently.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative, diligence and accountability in the operation of the equipment and carrying out tasks.
Experience travelling the North and Central Saskatchewan gravel road is an advantage.
