Saskatoon Housing Authority is seeking an individual to join our team in a permanent, full-time position of Pest Control Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for pest control treatments on SHA managed properties.
Duties and Responsibilities
.Lead role in extermination process: inspections, controlling and repelling.
.Application of treatments: chemical/powder/steam vacuuming/heat/trap setting/operating & maintaining equipment
.Work to exceed tenant expectations
.Effectively assess infestation areas & establish a plan of action
.Communicate effectively and respectfully with all parties
.Follow up inspections and additional treatments
.Keep current on effective industry products and procedures based on research and success.
.Take initiative to recommend change based on research, best practices, innovation, & product availability
.Self starter, able to work w/minimal supervision, support or approval to get things done right the first time.
.Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on equipment used
.Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, & materials in company vehicle.
.Work with Office Coordinator to maintain a system of recording/tracking of treatments.
Qualifications
.Grade 12 or equivalent
.Possession or willingness to obtain a Pesticide Application Certification License within the first month of employment
.Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations & Residential Tenancies Act is considered an asset
.Excellent customer service skills
.Willingness to work outside regular working hours
.Possession of a valid Driver's License
.Current criminal background check
