Description

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Building Services and Safety, the Instrumentation and Control Technician provides sophisticated technical services to Innovation Saskatchewan buildings and is responsible for completing reactive and proactive work that maintains and sustains the complex digital and PLC control systems. If youre a skilled technician looking to work in a dynamic and unique environment, apply today! Duties include but are not limited to:

-Performing the full range of duties associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of ventilation, air-conditioning and environmental control systems
-Performing basic and advanced operational functions on existing DDC and PLC systems, including but not limited to programming, operational analysis and lifecycle analysis
-Evaluating HVAC systems operation and performance and diagnosing and resolving operational anomalies
-Establishing positive connections with tenant companies in our parks and providing exceptional service to address any concerns in a timely manner
-Assisting supervisors and asset management in identifying aging infrastructure, energy-saving solutions and preventative maintenance work

What We Want from You

-Expert understanding of complex commercial building systems and elements
-Knowledge of hydronic and steam heating systems and chilled water systems
-Understanding of operation of building automation systems, good management practices and building life safety codes, standards and regulations
-Ability to program and operate a variety of systems and equipment
-Good understanding of network infrastructure and a variety of computer programs and software tools
-Self-motivation and ability to work independently under minimal supervision
-Flexibility to respond to emergency call-outs and action to resolve issues
-Effective communication, teamwork and time management skills
