The Town of La Ronge is seeking an enthusiastic, and qualified individual to perform the duties of an equipment operator within the Public Works department. Reporting directly to the Manager of Public Works, this position will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment including loader, grader, skid steer, snow plow, sweeper, as well as repair of Town property. Physical labour including the use of small tools and activities such as asphalt crack sealing are also required. As a condition of employment, the individual is expected to work year-round in a variety of weather conditions. The successful incumbent must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. This is a full-time permanent position. Qualifications for the position include: valid class 1 Saskatchewan drivers license with air brake endorsement; Grade 12 or equivalency; physically aptitude and able to lift up to 50lbs; and experience operating heavy equipment.
