Principal duties:

* Assist in the development of operational budgets and forecasts
* Investigate and initiate change to improve operations systems and procedures
* Recruit, manage, supervise and direct personnel
* Oversee fleet maintenance needs and initiate immediate repair
* Set-up and input data for driver payroll
* Prepare monthly billing
* Host safety meetings
* Meet monthly with Drivers' Reps to discuss issues brought up by drivers
* Handle public and driver inquiries
* Represent the company at school board meetings, and with the media
* Establish and maintain relationships with current and future clients

Qualifications:

* Post-secondary education with emphasis on Management; or equivalent experience
* Exceptional organizational, analytic problem solving and diplomacy skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
* Knowledge of WCB and Occupational Health & Safety regulations
* Knowledge of budgeting and financial statements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* 3+ years operations and management experience with strength in decision making
* Familiarity with transportation sector
* Expertise in organizational planning
* Knowledge of provincial and federal laws & regulations pertaining to industry requirements
