AGI Envirotank is a leading manufacturer of steel storage tanks. We are currently in need of a full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- performing scheduled preventative maintenance, breakdown & repairs as required & making recommendations as to the extent of the repairs required & suggestions for improvements.
- diagnosing & troubleshooting machine, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment issues in a timely & safe manner.
- installing & relocating equipment
- coordinating and working with various departments including the welding, warehouse, blasting & production teams to ensure equipment is running appropriately.
- Check oil on every machine including compressors daily.
- Keep records of everything done so it can be entered into computer.
- Do orders as needed to maintain the operation of the plant.
- Bring equipment in for preventative maintenance and keep logs of what has been done.
- Know how to operate machinery.
- Knowledge of lifting and rigging.
- Use cutting torch and welders.
- Knowledge of all shop used equipment.
- Knowledge of hand tools and hydraulic presses.
Requirements:
- must have valid Drivers License.
- must be willing to relocate or reliably commute to Biggar.
- must be a Canadian Resident or on a valid open work permit.
- must speak English fluently
