The purpose of the Sawmill Shift Clean-Up is to clean the entire Sawmill, Planer, Hog Building and Chip shaker from top to bottom to ensure the sawmill runs at peak performance and maintains a safe working standard.
Key success factors for this role: well organized, self-starter, ability to be objective, can prioritize well, and is a proactive performer that drives for results and has a strong attention to detail.
Successful candidates must be able to comprehend and follow all safe work and lockout procedures. Tasks include, but not limited to, sweeping, blow down with air wands, picking up broken boards, clean hydraulic units, maintain a standard of minimal dust accumulation. Candidates must be fit for light to moderate physical labour and be willing to work shiftwork.
