Description

Duties

1. Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers at stores
2. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items
3. Use barcode scanning equipment to record incoming stock, verify pricing and maintain computerized stock inventory
4. Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list
5. Stock shelves and display areas and keep stock clean and in order
6. Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom
7. Direct customers to location of articles sought and assist with inquiries
8. Enter, track and process customer orders and generate inventory reports
9. May sweep aisles, dust display racks and perform other general cleaning duties
10. May operate cash register and computer for electronic commerce transactions
11. May order stock.

Requirements

Some secondary school education is required.
