Preschool (K4) Teacher (Full-Time 1.0)

Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority is seeking applications for the position of a
Preschool (K4) Teacher at Father Megret Elementary School located at the Hatchet Lake, SK.

Immediate Supervisor  Principal

The Preschool (K4) Teacher is to prepare small children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. It is essential to teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them. The teacher is to create a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program.

Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree, a teaching certificate or credential or equivalent professional experience which would translate to successful classroom teaching.
    A recognized post-secondary Diploma as a Preschool (K4) Teacher or equivalent post-secondary education in a related area from a recognized institution would be an asset.
    Proficiency in the use of computers such as word processing, excel and database systems.
    Related training or experience in the field of education would be a definite asset.

    Organizational skills
    Computer literacy in circulation and cataloguing
