Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Targeted Sector Support Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with the TSS Steering Committee in order to coordinate and implement the TSS initiatives and workplan. The TSS initiative aims to help Saskatchewan municipalities strengthen their core municipal responsibilities by cost-sharing projects focused on good governance, capacity building and regional cooperation. As the needs and objectives of the program change with time, a key part of the Targeted Sector Support Coordinators role involves a commitment to embracing possible changes in responsibilities or duties assigned, in order to continue to support the program throughout any such change.
Candidates for this position must have: a strong background in writing for various audiences and using a variety of communications vehicles; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; the ability to self-motivate and prioritize tasks; and the flexibility to adapt to new information and think on their feet. Some travel will be required, and applicants must possess a valid class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license.
Applicants should have a degree in Business Administration or Public Administration, and relevant professional experience. Preference will be given to those with related governmental, municipal, or research experience.
The current salary range for this position is: $69,186.32 to $92,865.46, and placement on the scale will reflect qualifications and experience. SUMA also offers a competitive benefits package and flexibility, which includes a modified work week.
