The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways, Operation and Maintenance Division, is seeking an Equipment/Plant Operator as part of the crew for Sand Sulphur in Prince Albert. This is a permanent Labour Service position.

This position is solely responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, modification, and transport of the asphalt plant (highly modified pug mill) that produces the sand/sulphur mix used for traverse crack repair. This is a one-of-a-kind specialized piece of equipment that was designed and manufactured by the Ministry of Highways. In addition, this position will be called upon to perform road maintenance duties, bridge preservation, and ice road construction and maintenance. The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.

In order to qualify for this position, you must hold a Class 1A drivers license. The successful candidate must also have experience in driving a tandem truck and you must also have experience in the operation of heavy-duty motor equipment.
