The successful applicant will be responsible for planning and instruction within the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Program, including the theory, lab, and scenario requirements of the program, as assigned. Responsibilities include lesson planning, developing and delivering practical and theoretical instruction, evaluating student performance, and providing reports as required. Preparation time is included in the total approved days of the contract.
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet Saskatchewan Polytechnic accreditation requirements
- Must have completed an Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) program from an approved credit-granter
- Minimum of two years of experience as an Advanced Care Paramedic
- Licensed and in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP)
- Current instructor-level status with International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Required to lead EMER 113 and EMER 114
- Current instructor-level status with Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required to lead EMER 111
- Current provider-level certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS)
- Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of technology such as Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, Brightspace, Zoom, Outlook, etc. with the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check will be required.
