The Lloydminster Housing Authority (LHA) provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families, and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure shelter in Lloydminster and the surrounding area.  The Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN.  If you are ambitious and skilled in building and property maintenance, we're hiring!

The Maintenance Technician represents the Housing Authority and brings the ability to promote and participate in positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants and respects people's diversity and individual differences.

The position is responsible for building maintenance including service and repair, vacancy preparation, grounds maintenance and maintenance of housing authority equipment and inventory.

The ideal candidate will have experience repairing building mechanical equipment, completing custodial and maintenance work and the ability to lift heavy loads. Knowledge in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical, and groundskeeping work is desired.

A Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, supplemented with training in a technical or building trade (carpentry, plumbing, electrical) along with 1 - 3 years' experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination thereof is required.

A valid driver's license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment.
