South Country Equipment Ltd. is a growing John Deere agricultural and turf equipment retailer with 8 locations serving South east Saskatchewan. For more information about South Country Equipment, please visit our website at:  www.southcountry.ca.

Based out of our state-of-the-art Emerald Park location (8 minutes east of Regina), the primary responsibility is to provide a full-cycle semimonthly payroll and benefit service for two hundred employees.

The position will provide management with timely, complete, and accurate payroll information and related general ledger information.

Duties/Responsibilities:
-Responsible for processing a full-cycle, semimonthly payroll via Payworks, and uploading journal entries into business financial system.
- Administration of benefits and pension program.
- Maintaining employee database and personnel files.
- Provide assistance in application of established human resources policies and procedures.
- Participate in orientation of new employees, in set up of forms, benefits, policy resources and provide group benefit information to employees on coverage provided and procedures for making changes.

Required skills:
- Strong attention to detail with high level of confidentiality and diplomacy.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of payroll procedures, policies and standards, practices of personnel and payroll/tax administration including applicable Federal, Provincial laws, regulations, and policies required.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Required experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years payroll and benefits experience.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Preference given to PCP designated candidates, or those currently pursuing PCP designation.
- Experience with Payworks payroll system would be considered an asset.
