The Project Coordinator develop and deliver an Indigenous, community-based train-the-trainer program to strengthen understandings of Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Indigenous communities and the GBV sector. The Coordinator will build community capacity to respond to GBV. The project will adapt two existing training curriculums into one comprehensive train-the-trainer tool to be delivered in a group training session to four Indigenous communities annually.
Duties and Responsibilities
Integrate and design two Indigenous training curriculums into a comprehensive Indigenous community tool
Pilot test the new curriculum with community
Train the trainers of eight Indigenous communities to deliver the training at home
To support the trainees delivering training
Promote the training/invite applications to participate with a focus on northern SK training
Evaluation to measure impact and to demonstrate the evaluation tool to trainees
Key outputs: eight communities attend train-the-trainer session; incentives are distributed; quarterly training group meetings; community trainings are held; community training evaluation data is submitted; evaluation data is analyzed and written up into reports as appropriate.
