Experience
3 years human resources experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
Successful Candidates will have a Bachelor Degree preferably in Human Resources Management, supplemented with a minimum of 3 years human resources experience, preferably in a unionized environment. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills:
Knowledge of Human Resource best practices, trends and principles; Knowledge of provincial labour legislation and administration of collective agreements; Ability to interpret, advise and negotiate; Ability to motivate and coach managers, employees, and teams; Ability to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple and changing demands; Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, students, unions and the general public; Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team; Ability to lead or actively participate; Strong leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication including the ability to manage time, change and conflict; Advanced computer skills.
