Ability to work independently
Basic computer skills, where required by the job

Interpersonal skills

Valid drivers license, where required by the job

No guaranteed hours. Must be available a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours per 3 week period. Must be available all shifts, short shifts, short notice calls, stats and holidays, where applicable.  The Continuing Care Assistant Certificate Program from Saskatchewan Polytechnic; Health Care Aide Certification from Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies (SIIT); Personal Care Aide Certificate from Saskatoon Business College (SBC) are preferred programs, due to the inclusion of training in personal care, meal preparation, respite and home management.  However an equivalent training program will also be considered.  Should the Employer be unable to recruit a qualified applicant, other applicants with related experience and/or education who would be willing to obtain the qualifications, at their own expense within a defined period of time, may be considered.
