Hours: 150 hours per 4-week period

SIGN is seeking a motivated, empathetic, and youth centered individual, to work with the Program Manager, Case Management Supervisor and other staff in fulfilling the overall objectives of the home. The position will assist in the development and implementation quality programming that will enhance the personal, educational, emotional, and social development of the youth living in the home.

Expectations:
Overall case management for one or more youth
Compliance to case plans by observing special considerations and instructions
Assess, evaluate, plan, and revise youth care/support as directed by the Program Manager or Case Management Supervisor
Demonstrate cooperation among other staff members in order to ensure efficiency of care and support for youth
Protect the health and safety of others by adopting safe work practices
Collaborate and communicate with coworkers and youth to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate youth care
Help ensure that the nutritional and health requirements of all residents are met
Plan, teach and participate in social and recreation opportunities for youth residents
Efficiently complete required paperwork in written form and with Microsoft Office
Qualifications and experience:
The energy and aptitude to support youth while working well with a team
Experience working with youth and/or in a residential setting would be ideal
Post-secondary education and/ or training relevant to the position would be an asset
A recent (6 months or less), clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
Valid drivers license
Preference given to seniority candidates.
