DUTIES
Ensure all activities follow regulatory, safety and environmental compliance
Collaborate to design, implement, and improve drilling / completion programs
Research and implement innovative methods to increase production and reduce costs
through Engineering techniques and operational design
Monitor cost performance and cycle times to improve program efficiencies
Collaborate with supply chain on procurement activity
Liaise with field personnel to maintain project efficiency, from planning to look backs
Collaborate with completions and production Engineering to increase value for the well
cycle
Contribute to drilling knowledge sharing within team
Responsibility and support for drilling planning activities spanning different areas in the
basin
Execute program activities such as define well objectives, risk reviews, cost estimates,
Basis of Designs for casing and cement, technical service selection, Drilling Program,
and project lookbacks
Supporting Drilling Operations during field activities to ensure well objectives are met
while achieving continuous improvement for time and cost efficiency
Occasionally support in other areas of the business
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
Eligibility for enrollment in APEGA
+5 years experience in Engineering with background in current drilling operations and
technology
Experience in drilling activities
Demonstrate knowledge in Drilling Engineering skills
Demonstrate judgment, analytical, leadership and business skills
Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplined teams
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Entrepreneurial attitude, high motivation, and good communication skills
