Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools invites applications for a full-time, out-of-scope Assistant Manager Data Management & Software Development. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this position has two primary portfolios: data administration and software applications development management (inhouse and third party). The successful candidate will have in-depth operational knowledge of data management and analytics, as well as software development management strategies. The successful applicant will work with a modernized technology team that recently completed a repositioning restructure.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the work and processes of the Data Management and Software Development team
- Provide guidance and support to all members of the Data Management and Software Development team
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration
- Direct interface between the Data Management and Software Development team and end-users/proponents to support successful project completion
- Develop budgets and timelines for work undertaken by the Data Management and Software Development team
- Develop an annual operating budget for the Data Management and Software Development team
- Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within the department and design/implement strategies and solutions to meet these needs
- Oversee and prioritize all work undertaken by the Data Management and Software Development team
- Set attainable goals for team members to ensure timely project completion
- Provide guidance to team members to encourage work productivity
- Identify industry trends to ensure GSCS is positioned
- Develop software and integrations as needed
