This position provides varied, complex, highly sensitive, and confidential support to the Executive Director, Executive Council, and the NITHA Board. Requires the use of independent judgment, as well as technical knowledge of the specific area of assignment and overall NITHA and Partner activities.
An Office Education or Administration diploma and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, most recently in a similar Senior Administrative role.
Experience working in a First Nations health organization is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Knowledge of standard office equipment, administration practices, and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of standard business correspondence formatting, including recording, transcribing, and distributing minutes of meetings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a strong team member.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact and collaborate with various stakeholders both in person and on the telephone.
Strong ability to multi-task and an aptitude to be proactive requiring minimum supervision.
Capable of decision-making/problem-solving within predetermined guidelines.
Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and short turn-around times.
Ability to manage multiple changes in schedules, workflow, and priorities.
Ability to be flexible with hours of work by adjusting personal and work schedules to fil the needs of the moment and/or deadlines. This includes the ability to travel.
Knowledge of NITHA governance and/or the NITHA Partnership is considered an asset.
Must possess a valid Class 5 Drivers License
